Are you ready for R v. McKee?

Are you ready for R v. McKee?

In June 2026 The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed an appeal made by the Edmonton Police Service in a case involving the disclosure of police officer misconduct. This means Service Records of Discipline (SRODs) no longer have an expungement date, so all SRODs for the duration of a Member’s career must be disclosed as part of the McNeil process.

Swift McNeil is ready for this, the system easily discloses both active and previously expunged records. We’ve added an easy upload function to import previously expunged records without any data entry and added a self-disclosure form form those Members that may have had previous SRODs of which the Agency is unaware (EG from previous service at an other Agency).

Swift McNeil is ready to help you navigate this change and to make it as smooth as possible.
